COUNTDOWN: More than 30 new staff to enter huge warehouse
BUNNINGS Warehouse Warwick is welcoming 32 recruits as the team prepares to enter their new site in November.
More than 85 residents will be working at the new $20 million precinct at the corner of Canning and Condamine Sts, which is double the size of the current store on Palmerin St.
Equipped to handle all D.I.Y project questions, several of the new members are also qualified tradespeople with skills in horticulture and landscaping.
Bunnings Warehouse Warwick complex manager Dan Pfingst said the store provided a wide range of career development options for all team members. “I am confident our new recruits will relish the
opportunity to learn and grow with us in this bigger and better warehouse store,” he said.
Mr Pfingst has been a part of the Bunnings team for 10 years and said he was looking forward to continuing to lend a helping hand in the community from the new site. “Bunnings is always looking for opportunities to contribute to local causes and we look forward to continuing the support of the community groups in Warwick and the local area with hands-on projects in the future,” he said.
Team members have already supported community groups such as the Warwick Netball Club to help refresh its kitchen area with a new coat of paint and they will soon assist Warwick East State School in making over its garden retreat area with new soil and plants. The famous Bunnings sausage sizzles aren’t going anywhere, Mr Pfingst is excited to fire up the barbecue at the new store.
